This statement applies to the Government Domain Names website domainname.gov.au. The domainname.gov.au website is managed by the Australian Government Department of Finance.

When you register a domain name, we record name, address, email address and telephone number in the .gov.au domain registration system. Your contact details are required so that we can contact you about your domain name; Registrant and Tech contact details are also provided to the .au registry operator (Identity Digital Australia) and are published on Whois lookups.
